WoW what a weekend!

First and foremost, this weekend I got Married, that's right... lol I'm now a Mrs. It was a small private civil ceremony, just myself Rayven our 2 best friends and their daughter. Next year we're hoping to have the big shebang and party, but we were tired of waiting to do that so decided to get the legality of it out of the way... lol.

That's the biggest thing from the weekend, next on Saturday we went to my sisters bridal shower. She looks so happy and was joking around about how she's hand making 20 tablecloths for the reception and how she's only tried on her dress 3 times. When we told her we'd been married that morning she had to sit down for a while she was that floored :) My mother as well since Dad wasn't there, wished her a happy anniversary (33 years for her and my dad now) and told her the news about us.

Later after the shower we headed out to Legal to a 40th anniversary party. That was increadable, a entire roast pig, and lots of other foodstuffs. And carrot cake mmmmmmmm. Everyone looked like they were having a good time and there was a video presentation of their lives together that was pretty amazing. I hope in 40 years our kids can do something like that for us as well, very moving and touching.

Currently I'm on 2 weeks vacation now I've been meaning to clean house and stuff, but not feeling like it. :) I'll probably do the floors today and take a load of laundry to the laundry mat, joy of joys.

A woman and her boyfriend are out having a few drinks. She starts talking about this really great new drink. After a while he gives in and lets her order the drink for him. The bartender brings the drink and puts the following items on the bar:

A salt shaker,
a shot of Baileys,
and a shot of lime juice.

The woman explains. First you put a bit of the salt on your tongue, nextyou drink the shot of Baileys and hold it in your mouth, and finally you drink the lime juice."

So, the boyfriend, trying to go along and please her, goes for it.

He puts the salt on his tongue... Salty but OK.

He drinks the shot of Baileys...very pleasant, holding it in his mouth.

He thinks...this is OK.

Finally he picks up the lime juice and drinks it.

In one second the sharp lime taste hits. At two seconds the Baileys curdles. At three seconds the salty, curdled taste and mucous-like consistency hits. At four seconds it feels as if he has a mouth full of nasty snot.

This triggers his gag reflex, but being manly, andnot wanting to disappoint his girlfriend, he swallows the now foul tasting drink.

When he finally chokes it down he turns to his girlfriend, and says, "Good God!!! What do you call that drink?"

She smiles at him and says, "Blow Job Revenge."

New Car

That is what I got back in Febuary. This month I traded it in for THIS:

Acutally not my car, it's the hubbys. Got it for his birthday, just came out of the shop on the 30th. 2004 Mustang GT Convertable, 40th aniversary edition. I got myself a lil 2005 Focus at the same time so we'll both have cars, and used the sunfire as a trade in on the mustang. So now if I want I can just get in the car and go somwhere, no waiting around and having to coodinate rides if one of use needs to be somewhere and the other needs to be somewhere else. For the winter he's going to get a beater truck or car to get back from work and such and put the mustang in storage. Least that's the plan right now.

Insurance being a pain in the rear

Think the subject line says it all really, sigh. We changed our banking info at the beginning of April, I gave em the new bank stuff at the end of the month when I went in to pay. They tried to take the payment for May out of the old account then had the balls to tell me they were going to charge me a 50$ nsf for the returned payment. HHHEEELLLOOOO!!! not my damm fault, the bank says you gave the wrong acct number, you admit it was the wrong account number, no fucking way in all seven hells are you going to get that $50 from me for it.

An hour later and a bunch of phone calls and I get an apology from the guy who set up the insurance for us. No they are not going to take out the 'nsf fee' as it was an error on their side. It will come out on Thursday and if it hasn't please call. Glad they fixed their error, pissed that it happened in the first place as it throws off my budgeting to see more in the bank then I actually have.

I also have to go into the office tomorrow, and maybe Thursday as well. So not the happiest of campers there either. I'm training a couple guys on my team to be my backup for my position, in case I'm sick and for when I have my vacation in August.

yea okay.... I don't feel a year older, honestly sometimes I still get shocked that I'm a grown-up. With all the lovely responsibilities that come with it, and just added in a car loan on top of it all. My manager at work thought I was turning 20, was rather shocked to find out I'm now 31. I guess I've aged well, despite the fact that my hair is already going silver.

I just realized that I haven't posted anything worthwhile for a while, well except for my new car :) yay I love my car! I have a lot of thoughts that I'm trying to get out and be co-herent but might fail in that so be prepared for some inconsistent rambling.

Work- I'm tech support, I don't feel like I'm a 'real' tech I was hired for my customer service skills and had enough computer smarts to pass the test they gave me. I love my company that I support, the people who I've talked with have been mostly nice and reasonably smart. I got the occasional one who was totally computer phobic, one didn't know where the power button on her desktop machine was. The other one that stands out in my mind the most is the lady who was very neat and organized and organized all the files on her laptop into nice folders, and named the folders 'exe' 'dll' 'reg' ect.... only a total wipe and re image solved her problem... after I was done laughing (after I hit the mute button). I'm slowly learning the ins and outs of networking, and how various systems in the company work together. I support the largest Pharmaceutic company in the USA so I've had calls from pharmacy saying that their shipment for male enhancement drugs didn't come in and they need them, I have to contain my giggles and find out where their shipment is.

Life- Things have been rough, I've been feeling sick a lot and I've gone off the drugs I was on for insulin resistance. when I was on them I'd spend a lot of time in the bathroom, and that's not conducive for good work. Still no signs of a baby, and my sex drive has plumited (I'm really sure everyone needed to know that) got to be something hormonal. Plus I'm not loosing any weight and I'm fighting to not over indulge when I get depressed, since I know I tend to eat when I feel bad. We also just got notice from Boardwalk that our rent will be increasing in 3 months, joy and fun times. I find it ironicly funny that back in 2004 boardwalked evicted us from pretty much our dream apartment, and now since they just bought the apartment we liv in we're back to being with them again and they can't do anything... lol

Play - I've been sucked into World of Warcraft...no I don't play on a pvp server, and no my life does not revolve around what my character needs on the game. I don't even have the expansion yet but I'm enjoying it so far. blondebeaker I know you play :) so what server are you on? or if you don't want to say in here email me krymsonrose@telus.net

I think that's enough for now, there's a ton more I could say but I don't think it would make sense to most people so maybe another day

no it's not dirty, I took the pic through my kitchen window and it's in part shade.
2005 Sunfire, Tan in color, no bells or whistles, no power locks/windows or cd player. But she's mine. It still doesn't seem quite real, I've never had a new car (new as in not from the 80's) I think once the payments start coming out it will seem much more realistic lol. I still can't believe that we got financing from a dealer without having to go to Mac James, not that there's anything wrong with that but the interest rate from the bank that financed us is lower then if we'd gone elsewhere. So we now have a reliable working car that's good on gas. Next on my list is to find a nice place out where dreamwakedie and sharrn live so we can be closer to our friends. YAY

I've been making up excuses to go driving :)

Why the sudden interest in this? I'm turning 31 at the end of the month, I'm not a size 2 person that according to clothing shops is the perfect size. I think I'm beautiful even though I would never be in any magazines or commercials. Because of my size even growing up when I wasn't fat just had a larger frame then the rest of the girls my age, I developed some severe self esteem problems. Problems that I still deal with to this day. I think the world at large, mainly Canada and the US have some very skewed outlooks on the female body. If girls are told that to be beautiful they must be a size 2 then there are going to be a lot of disappointed little girls. These girls will grow up (those that don't starve themselves to death via anorexia or bulimia) and think "I'm not beautiful because I'm not todays standards of beautiful. I totally applaud Dove for their courageous acceptance of real women, and the courage to air adds that go so totally against the grain of todays commercial vision. Their current campaign features women over 50, and after looking at some of these woman I have so much appreciation for them, and hope I look that good in 20 years. Am I going to switch to using their products after seeing all this? It depends, I have sensitive skin and a lot of products make me break out or totally dry my skin out. If they actually have something I can use, most deffinatly I will use it.

Some ppl on my friends list know that we have this girl staying with us... another stray that we took in. Well tonight we found out that she is an extreme homophobe, I already was having problems with her because she's so immature and has a different 'boyfriend of the week' 0_nevermore_0 is trying to talk some sense into her, but she's so dense I don't think it will do any good. She met one of our friends couple weeks ago, thinks he's a neat guy, she found out tonight that he is gay and just seeing the horror cross her face was an education. We had a grey cup party here last Sunday, I wonder how she'd react to find out that she was one of few ppl there who were straight. Apparently she's ok with 'gays' as long as they don't show affection. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR it's one of my HUGE pet peeves, I have a lot of friends that are gay, I have guy friends that are flaming queens, that squicked her out a lot.

I don't think I can properly express how annoyed I am with her. I was brought up in a extreme religion, where our church would tell us that people are gay because of an imbalance in the inner ear and that the church would provide the means for people so 'infected' to get treatment. Well, even though I was brought up to not to consort with 'the gays' I have absolutely no problems with them at all, two guys, two girls, no problems. And before this becomes a unintelligible rant I'm going to go to bed.

haven't been on much, the reason being.... I got myself a PS2, that came with FFX, FFX-2, FFX-2 Greatest hits, and Onimusha- Deamon Siege, 2 controlers and 2 memory cards one for ps1, and one for ps2, and all this for $100.

yay!! post office just came by and delivered my first wave of x-mass presents I ordered online and one of the presents is for someone on my f-list :)

this is my eye on drugs

He had to dilate my pupil with some drops, very uncombable cuse I couldn't block out light at all and I'm light sensitive, and I couldn't focus on anything near to me... but apparently he said I'm perfectly ok to drive. OOOOokkkay I can't see if there's light and I can't focus, but it's okay for me to drive? Well I guess I'll fit in better with most of the Edmonton drivers.... can't see where I'm going and speed is my friend cuse I can't totally focus on the speedomitor. And did you guys know that an eye exam is now 75$? last year when I was calling it was 45$ holy crap!! Just glad I can get it refunded.

Oh!! I got contacts now, I get to try these ones out for a week, then back on Thursday to see how they work out for me, if they don't they try me with another pair. and the amount of $$ I spend today means that they do this for me for free until we find the one best for my eyes, YAY!

anyways, I'm off to bed cuse work comes very early.

Flat panel LCD monitor, 17" LG. It's sooo nice. and yes that is a laptop in front of it, and a second monitor off to the side, thats what I use for work. I use to have my IBM station setup on 0_nevermore_0s desk and he was kinda tired of not being able to use his laptop when I was working, so we got this. So I have loads of desk space and can maybe fiddle on my own system in between calls from work. 0_nevermore_0 got himself one as well, so he's one more step closer to a desktop compy instead of his laptop. And Drool over my FF wallpaper... mmmmmmm Vincent Valentine.... I so need some new speakers, that's next on my 'things I'd like to get for my system' list.

Click on em for the bigger pic, and yes it's the first time I've ever carved a pumpkin. Growing up we didn't celebrate any holidays other then the ones ordained by the church, and after I left I just didn't think about doing anything creative for halloween. I usually light some candles and meditate for a while, then watch cheesy movies. But I think I did pretty good for my first attempt, 0_nevermore_0 traced the design onto the pumpkin from a pic I'd printed out, then I cut it out.
